12:00 pm: Lobster Carnival Grounds and East Coast Amusement Midway Open

Credit Union Place grounds, 511 Notre Dame Street - Look for the Carnival Tents and Midway on Rufus Street entrance – plenty of free parking between the carnival grounds and Red Shores Summerside Raceway.

 

12:00 pm: Callbecks Home Hardware and Home Furniture and Appliances Store Summerside Lobster Carnival Parade: Parade route on back of program. 

 

1:30 pm: Lobster Demonstration and Food and Entertainment Tents open

 

 

Lobster Demonstration and Food Tent -

One pound PEI lobster and lobster chowder available throughout the afternoon. Purchase food tickets (also Lobster Supper tickets) at the Lobster Trap Merchandise Store located inside the tent.

Visit the Lobster Prince Edward Island Booth. Water station available.

Lobster Culinary Demonstrations and Activities 
Celebrating PEI's wild sustainable Lobster Industry

 

1:00 pm: Lobster Demonstration and Taste Testing: Lobster and Mushroom Fricassee    

 

2:00 pm: Lobster Demonstration and Taste Testing: Lobster Cakes

 

3:00 pm: Lobster Demonstration and Taste Testing: Lobster Frittata with ADL Dairy Isle Cheese

 

4:00 pm: Tent closes to prepare for lobster suppers.

 

5:00 pm- 7:00 pm: Traditional Island Lobster Supper: 

(Takeout available)– One pound PEI lobster, potato salad, coleslaw, cucumber, roll, ADL Dairy Isle butter, cookie, water and tea. Supper entertainment featuring Acadian fiddle music with Louise and Helen. Lobster fishers will crack your lobster and answer questions. Volunteers available to instruct on removing lobster from the shell. $26.00 plus tax (can be purchased through the online store or at the door)

Cold cut supper available for $19.00 plus tax. Island craft beer available at additional cost.

Trivia teams compete to claim the championship title and a $1,000.00 prize. Trivia host by Wil MacDonald. Teams can register online here.

Ice Pond Nature Park - Greenwood Drive across from Carnival Grounds

​

1:30 pm: Official Opening of BBEMA Ice Pond Nature Park: Guided tour of nature trails of the restored pond area, rain garden demonstration, rain barrels for sale, remote control boat demonstration, barbeque, etc. 

​

2:30 pm: Summerside Lobster Carnival Rubber Ducky Race: 1000 rubber ducks will be released to begin their race for the finish line. Ducks sold at $5.00 each for the chance to win $500.00 first prize, $200.00 second prize, $100.00 third prize. Proceeds to support the environment work of Bedeque Bay Environment Management Association. Purchase onsite or at www.bbema.ca.

3:00 pm: Summerside Lobster Carnival Cardboard Boat Races: Teams compete to cross the pond and stay afloat. Grand prize of $1000.00. For full details and registration click here.
