Credit Union Place grounds, 511 Notre Dame Street - Look for the Carnival Tents and Midway on Rufus Street entrance – plenty of free parking between the carnival grounds and Red Shores Summerside Raceway.

12:00 pm: Callbecks Home Hardware and Home Furniture and Appliances Store Summerside Lobster Carnival Parade: Parade route on back of program. Summerside Seafood Supreme Lobster Culinary Demonstration and Food Tent – 

Event Chef Robert Pendergast

 

PEI lobster, and lobster salsa with taco chips available throughout the afternoon. Purchase tickets (also Lobster Supper tickets) at the Lobster Trap Merchandise Store located inside the tent.
Visit the Lobster Prince Edward Island Booth. Water station available.

Lobster Culinary Demonstrations and Activities 
Celebrating PEI's wild sustainable Lobster Industry 

 

1:00 pm: Lobster Demonstration and Taste Testing: Chef Pendergast's Lobster 'Fricot'

 

2:00 pm: Lobster Eating Competition: Sign up in the tent to one of ten competitors to open and eat a one pound lobster. Judged on time and clean lobster body. Three top finalists will compete in a second round. Winner receives lobster themed prize. Sea shanties performed by Mike Pendergast. 

 

3:00 pm: Lobster Demonstration and Taste Testing: Island Lobster Pasta

 

4:00 pm: Tent closes to prepare for Lobster Supper

5:00- 7:00 pm: Traditional Island Lobster Supper: Lobster, potato salad, coleslaw, cucumber, roll, ADL Dairy Isle butter, cookie, water and tea. $30.00 taxes included. Lobster fishers will crack your lobster and answer industry questions. Cold plate available, includes: chef prepared ham and turkey, potato salad, coleslaw, cucumber, roll, ADL Dairy Isle butter, cookie, water and tea. $22.00 taxes included. Take out available. Island craft beer available at additional cost. Supper entertainment features Acadian fiddle music with Louise Arsenault and Helen Bergeron. Buy Lobster Supper and Cold Plate tickets here.

Ice Pond Nature Park - Greenwood Drive across from Carnival Grounds

2 pm: NOVUS Auto Glass Cardboard Boat Race (NOVUS Summerside and Charlottetown locations): Participants arrive with the cardboard boat they built and compete in heats to stay afloat while crossing the pond at the best time. Frist prize: $1000.00, Second: $250.00, Third: $100.00. 

2:30 pm: BBEMA Rubber Ducky Race Fundraiser supported by the Summerside Lobster Carnival. Ducks can be purchased on the BBEMA website: https://bbema.ca/ OR on the day of the race at the pond. One duck is $5.00, five ducks is $20.00. One thousand ducks are available. Ducks will be released at 2:30 pm in the pond. First duck to cross the pond wins $500, Second duck: $200, Third duck: $100.00.
